Miscellaneous Items
DO compost:
BPI-certified compostable products
hair and pet fur
pencil shavings
ashes from wood
alcohol
DO NOT compost:
products labeled “biodegradable” that do not have the “BPI-certified” logo
otherwise compostable items dirtied with inorganic chemicals (e.g. paper towels used for cleaning that are soaked with harsh cleaning products)
rubber bands
cigarettes
charcoal or coal ash
human / animal waste — Worm Works does not allow these in our bins for sanitary purposes. These would break down in a home composting system.
